Every member of our team plays a vital role in transforming your home improvement visions into reality.

We are often asked how our company got its name. Michael and Maria have four sons: Bryan, Joshua, Luke and Mark. The company was started after the birth of the first two boys, hence the name “BRYJO” (Bryan and Joshua).

Meet our Team

Michael Harris

Chief Executive Officer

Raised in the Dallas Metroplex, Michael Harris embodies the qualities of integrity, honesty, commitment, and drive. Michael began his career in the roofing industry as an installer in 1986. In 1998, he became an estimator and project manager for a local general contractor specializing in insurance losses. He obtained his adjuster’s license in 1998 and worked as a claims adjuster for two years with Travelers Insurance. Recognizing a need for quality contracting services with superior customer service, Michael founded BRYJO in 2000 with a mission to take care of clients and provide exceptional services.

Maria Harris, UDCP, CRD

Chief Operations Officer

Maria Harris initially established BRYJO’s corporate footprint and administrative systems. As COO, she leads design in the Remodeling Division, focusing on kitchen, bathroom, and room addition designs. Specializing in Universal Design concepts and ADA integration, Maria holds the Universal Design Certified Professional (UDCP) and the Certified Remodeling Designer (CRD) designations from the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), reflecting her commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Maria, Michael’s wife and business partner, participates in many activities within the Richardson community. She is a graduate of Leadership Richardson, former member of the Advisory Board at the Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as an Adult leader for youth at their church. Maria also volunteers at City House.

Amy Nelson

Office Manager

Amy Nelson is a results-driven professional with a proven track record in small business operations, known for her initiative and innovation. Her background in Human Resources and Business Management gives her a comprehensive understanding of employee relations, performance management, and talent development. As an outstanding communicator, she excels in cultivating trust and fostering relationships at all different levels of the organization.

Sarah Reppart

Office Administrator

Sarah is a detail-oriented and organized professional with experience in administrative support, operations coordination, and insurance claims processes. She is skilled at managing multiple priorities, maintaining strong relationships with clients and vendors, and supporting teams across all levels of an organization. Her background in project coordination and CRM systems helps keep operations running smoothly and ensures client satisfaction.

Tanner Maycumber

In-House Estimator

Tanner is an emerging construction professional with a growing background in residential estimating and project support. After earning his degree in Public Relations from Texas Tech University, he began his career in the staffing industry before transitioning to the home improvement sector in 2023. There, he gained hands-on experience supporting bathroom upgrade projects, deepening his understanding of customer priorities and the cost dynamics of residential work.

He is trained in estimating and design software, including CAD tools, which allow him to assist homeowners in visualizing their projects and making informed decisions. Tanner brings strong attention to detail and a service-minded approach to his role as In-House Estimator at BRYJO. Born and raised in the Dallas Metroplex, Tanner has deep ties to the local community. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their Golden Retriever.

Mahlon Mattal

Lead Carpenter / Job Superintendent

With over 25 years of experience in residential remodeling, Mahlon is a Master Carpenter, tile installer, and apprentice plumber and electrician. His true talent shines in finish work, and BRYJO’s clients frequently commend Mahlon’s meticulous attention to detail and artistic craftsmanship. Serving as a Job Superintendent for us, he has garnered the respect of both our vendors and fellow craftsmen through his years of skill refinement. Mahlon has been an integral part of the BRYJO team for more than 17 years.

Ed Bourn

Project Manager

Ed is a highly experienced construction professional with over 40 years in the industry, specializing in residential and multi-family housing. With a strong background in project management, estimating, and construction trades, Ed excels at leading teams and overseeing complex projects across residential, commercial, and military housing sectors. His expertise covers all phases of construction, from framing and cabinetry to finish work, always ensuring exceptional results. Known for his hands-on approach and problem-solving skills, Ed brings valuable experience and leadership to his role as Residential Construction Project Manager at BRYJO. Outside of work, Ed enjoys woodworking, camping, and spending quality time with his wife, their five children, and 12 grandchildren.
